Investigates key issues such as literacy, diversity, equity, the education of teachers, professionalism, and school reform from historical and contemporary social-cultural perspectives. Major educational philosophies are studied as they develop and change in various historical eras. Also examines how globalization and large-scale immigration have affected and continue to affect schooling and youth.
